Lakeview Church Wedding in Tarpon Springs: A Beautiful Location for Weddings
There are some wedding locations where I already know I'm going to be excited to photograph the day, and Lakeview Church in Tarpon Springs is definitely one of them.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph another wedding at Lakeview Church, making this the second wedding I've photographed at this beautiful Tarpon Springs location. Every time I photograph a wedding here, I'm reminded just how many beautiful opportunities there are for photos throughout the church grounds.
Located at 475 East Lake Road North in Tarpon Springs, Lakeview Church has a beautiful setting with the lake behind the property and a walking path that gives couples plenty of options for portraits.
For couples looking for a beautiful wedding setting in the Tarpon Springs area, I think Lakeview Church is a location worth considering.
An Intimate Wedding Ceremony at Lakeview Church
This particular wedding was a more intimate celebration with the couple and some of their immediate family members.
Even though the guest list was small, the day was filled with just as much emotion as a larger wedding. The ceremony had so many meaningful moments, from the anticipation at the beginning to the emotional exchanges between the couple throughout the ceremony.
One of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding ceremony is looking for all of those little moments that can easily be missed. I always try to photograph a variety of angles throughout the ceremony so that the final gallery tells the complete story of what happened.
Rather than photographing everything from one perspective, I move when appropriate to capture different views of the couple, their reactions, their family, and the emotions happening throughout the ceremony.
A Beautiful Ceremony Location With the Lake as a Backdrop
One of my favorite features of Lakeview Church is the area behind the church overlooking the lake, a view fully visible from inside as well.
The cross in front of the lake creates an especially beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies and portraits. There's something really special about photographing a couple in such a meaningful setting with the water and surrounding landscape behind them.
It also gives the ceremony photographs a sense of place. When the couple looks back at their wedding gallery years from now, they'll be able to remember not only how the ceremony felt, but exactly where they stood when they said their vows.
For a photographer, having a beautiful backdrop like this right on the church grounds makes it easy to create a variety of images without needing to travel somewhere else.
So Many Beautiful Spots for Wedding Portraits
After the ceremony, we spent some time photographing the couple around the Lakeview Church property.
This is another reason I enjoy photographing weddings here. There are so many different areas to work with, which means the gallery doesn't have to look like every portrait was taken in the same spot.
We photographed the couple:
• In front of the cross overlooking the lake
• Around the trees and greenery
• In front of the church
• Along the walking path
• Around the lake
• During the beautiful evening light and sunset
Each location gave us something different.
The trees created a more natural and intimate setting, while the cross and lake gave us a more dramatic backdrop. The walking path provided another opportunity for natural, candid photographs, and the sunset gave us some beautiful warm light to finish the portraits.
I love locations like this because I can give couples variety without taking them away from their wedding celebration for a long period of time.
Why I Recommend Lakeview Church for Wedding Photography
After photographing two weddings at Lakeview Church, I can confidently say that it is one of those locations where I always look forward to creating images.
The combination of the lake, walking paths, trees, church grounds, and beautiful evening light gives couples so many options for wedding portraits.
It's especially well suited for couples who want a beautiful wedding celebration while still having a variety of beautiful locations for their photographs.
And from a photography perspective, having so many different backdrops in one location makes it possible to create a wedding gallery that feels varied and complete.
